The phones at my day job have still not switched over with daylight savings and what not. That means that the clock on my phone says it’s an hour later than it actually is. There have been some points where I’ve looked down at the time today and completely forgotten that the phones haven’t changed yet leading me into a spiral of panic but there are other times, like right now, where I see it and realize that I’m absolutely killing it as far as getting stuff done today. Don’t get me wrong, it’s never all the way done but I’m feeling great about what I’ve accomplished thus far today and will continue to accomplish so I figure it’s time to celebrate with another new song.
“Salt” is off of Nothingheads’ upcoming LP ‘The Art of Sod’ and it will surely make you want to drop everything and check out the entire release. This song is intense and, at times, almost abrasive but, overall, it evokes this sense of emotion and angst within you that, even on a good day, bubbles up and overflows somehow. We all have some pent up angst and aggression regardless of how good your day is going and I love how this guitar driven and IDLES-feeling track helps you get that out and truly clear your mind for what’s to come. ‘The Art of Sod’ comes out on November 8th so, if you like the snarl and attitude of “Salt”, mark your calendars and check out Nothingheads’ full album when it drops! I know that I have an alarm on my calendar for it because I just can’t miss it.
