Was 18 a good age for you or a bad one? For me, it was a strange time. I was in college, working three full-time jobs, doing two internships, and trying to run a company all at the same time. It was wild and, if I’m being honest, I don’t remember much of it. I don’t know if it was the best time of my life or the worst but I know that there are times when I wish I was just “18 Again”. That’s what One Up’s new song is about.

“18 Again” is the last single from One Up before releasing their album in just two days. This Detroit, Michigan-based pop-punk band has a classic sound that will transport you back to being 18 (if you were like me and grew up in the pop-punk scene) while giving you a slight breath of fresh air with the modern twist they put on their sound. “18 Again” sounds like nostalgia and summer with the breeziness of the instrumentation but, as you start to really hone in on the lyrics, you get hit with a wave of emotion. All in all, “18 Again” is the perfect mix of all things. Whether you want to dance around your current space like you used to do in your bedroom when you were a carefree teen or you want to sit there a reminisce about when things were a bit more simple, One Up is the band for you. Like what you hear in this bombastic single? Make sure to tune into their socials on this Friday, November 8th, for the full album drop.
