Girl at the Rock Shows

It’s a Thursday morning and I have nothing more than that for you. It’s just a normal morning of a normal weekday where I feel exhausted from the show the night before and find myself trying to get amped up for my show tonight. Nothing is wrong, nothing really bugging me, just one of those days. I need something to spice it up a little bit and I’m hoping that “The End.” from Like Optimists will do the trick.

“The End.” tells the story of a killer on the run with a lot of ferocity and a slight bit of snark. Right off the bat, this song reminded me of Billy Talent. The vocals are distinct like those of Billy Talent and the energy is on point. As the song progresses, that dead-on Billy Talent influence seems to fall to the side an you get to hear this 4-piece rock band’s true sound. “The End.” is fast, furious, and full of hooks and catchy lines that will surely catch your attention even if you have this song on in the background. This track is far from new as it came out five years ago but, as I always say, if it’s new to me, it’s new to some of you and I hope that, if you like this track, you spend some time going down the Like Optimists rabbit hole because it’s definitely a trip worth taking.
