Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m not sure what’s happening with the water up in Canada right now but I’ll take some. “take it slow… (holiday)” is only the second song I’ve had a chance to check out today but is another one that, like the first track of the day, comes from Canada. Honestly, Canada isn’t that far from Minneapolis and, after hearing this amazing track, I’m starting to wonder if I need to pay a bit more attention to what’s happening up there and maybe even plan out some visits to see amazing bands like LØVE OUTLIER live.

“take is slow… (holiday)” had me hooked absolutely instantly with a powerful vocal intro that will instantly draw your ears and heart into LØVE OUTLIER’s world. This song reminds me a bit of the tenderness of old-school bands like The Academy Is and Relient K but it comes with a bit of a Saves the Day angst behind it. In the pitch I got with this song, the band mentioned that they “hope to bring positive emotions to those who listen and bring you back to your inner youthful self.” Mission accomplished, LØVE OUTLIER. Mission accomplished and then some. This song filled me with so much warmth and coziness while also giving me this burst of energy that I so badly needed. Come for the powerful vocals, stay for the captivating instrumentation– “take it slow… (holiday)” is the kind of song that’s for everyone.
