It’s only 9 AM but it’s always been a freaking day here at my day job. I won’t let it get the best of me as this week has been a good one thus far and I’m not about to let a manic morning get the best of me but I need a triumphant song to help me re-set for the day and “Free” from Chris Bo Jones is doing just the trick.
Chris Bo Jones has spent some time on the road ass part of a regional band but has decided to try his hand at being a solo singer/ songwriter and his new song “Free” is proof that this was a great move for him. This song is highly energized but, at the same time, bring a sense of calm over even the most restless of souls. Stylistically, this song dabbles between indie pop and something a bit more soulful with Chris’ signature brand of grit that comes through loud and clear throughout this nearly four-minute-long song. “Free” is full of hooks but, more importantly, full of heart making it the perfect song to check out if you’re already struggling with the day but determined to get back on track and make it a lovely Wednesday.
