I don’t know how to play guitar. Honestly, it’s just never been something I’ve wanted to learn. I’m a piano player through and through and only ever kind of sort of wanted to play drums. What does this have to do with Brie Stoner’s new song “Easy Like A Tele”? Well, as Brie puts it, “I wrote Easy Like A Tele after a bandmate made a comment about wishing all guitars were as easy to play and travel with as telecasters are.” That means nothing to me and, truthfully, I thought “Tele” was short for telephone, which, I know, makes zero sense when you think about it. Long story short, whether you agree that all guitars should be as easy to play and travel with as Telecasters are or are just looking for a new song to put a little light into this often dark and gloomy world, “Easy Like A Tele” from Brie Stoner is the song for you.

The vocals are the first thing that will surely hit you in this song. They are silky smooth and crystal clear but have this jazzy haze behind them that give them an almost mystical aura. The instrumentation of this track seems to cast just the slightest haze over it all, creating a lush and textured landscape that allows Brie’s vocals to truly shine. It’s kind of ironic that, in the information given to me about this track, Brie mentions wanting this song to feel like a live jam because that’s another thing that really strikes me about this track. Although it’s flawlessly mixed and mastered, there’s a free-flowing organic vibe to everything happening in this song which definitely gives you all of the best elements that come with a live jam.

“Easy Like A Tele” isn’t going to be the most intense song I share with you all day. It definitely won’t be the punkiest or the heaviest but it will surely be in the running for the most beautiful. This song officially comes out on Friday, but just for you, I have a sneak peek below! If you like what you hear, make sure to give Brie a follow on all of your socials so you don’t miss anything else this amazing musician has coming up!
