Girl at the Rock Shows

I love lyrics but it’s rare that a band submits their lyrics when submitting a single to me. That was not the case with Push To Shove and their single, “Squares”. The lyrics were right there for me and I was sold before even hearing the song.

This song is deep both lyrically and instrumentally. The amount of emotion that comes from the words is mirrored in the instrumentation. It’s a very shoegazing track but has a bit of a hint of pop-punk in it reminding me of one of my all time favorite bands– Gatsby’s American Dream. It’s a song that draws you in and keeps you captivated whether you are honing in on the vocals or everything else happening in this magical piece of art. “Squares” is off of their full length album ‘ATOM DEATH’ which is due out in August of this year so make sure to follow these guys so you don’t miss the album drop.
