Girl at the Rock Shows

I don’t know what just happened by my optimistic attitude for the day disappeared in the blink of an eye and I am half ready to leave work early just so I can go home and cry. I won’t actually do that but that’s where my head is at and I really need to snap out of it and get back to getting stuff done regardless of how stressed it makes me. Hopefully Talk Heavy’s track “The Song That Plays (When Marissa Shoots Trey)” can help shift my mood a wee bit so I can get through the day.

A unique blend of peace and intensity seems to be Talk heavy’s signature move and I am absolutely here for it. “The Song That Plays (When Marissa Shoots Trey)” shows that blend with the heartfelt lyrics and the energy of the instrumentation. It’s a fairly fast and chaotic song at first listen but, when you start to really let yourself fall into this song, you realize the warmth and comfort that it can bring to you. Think Senses Fail meets something just ever so slightly more bright and poppy and you can get kind of close to what Talk Heavy gives you in this song. This is a super solid listen if you’re having a day like mine so check it out and show this Australian band some love!
