Happy Thursday everyone! It somehow feels like this week has flown by but, at the same time, has been moving super slowly. It has me in a weird mood where concentrating on work has been difficult but, thankfully, I have some amazing music to share with you today that will help distract all of us from the day-to-day. Let’s kick today off right with “Skipstone” from Settle For Sleep.
The angst in this track is deafening in the most perfect way possible. A perfect blend of emo and metalcore, this song comes drenched in emotion and passion. I love the way Settle For Sleep balances aggression and tenderness throughout “Skipstone” in both the instrumentation and vocals. It’s one of those rollercoaster of a ride kind of songs that will have you feeling a million different emotions throughout the three and a half minutes that the track lasts. Along with that, you get a super catchy and ear-wormy chorus that will surely get stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
