FFO: Abrasive Punk Vocals; Feminine Power; In-Your-Face Protest Music

I’m still feeling a bit angsty and ready to blow at any given time. Okay, that’s a little dramatic. Honestly, I’m doing okay but it’s just one of those days where I find myself reminiscing about being self-employed and thinking about how, although that was the hardest year and a half of my life, it was so nice to just be at home working on what I wanted to when I wanted to. But I digress. I need to snap out of this day dream and get my head back in the game and I have “Hard Feelings” from Cross Dog to help me out.

The description I got when it comes to Cross Dog was: “Heavy, noisy, feminist punk band from Peterborough Ontario, Canada” and, honestly, that’s really all I can say here. I instantly fell in love with the undeniable punk edge that comes through in this song but, more importantly, I fell in love with the attitude. Cross Dog has everything to prove, nothing to lose and you can feel that fight and fire with every word and beat that passes in this three and a half minute song. “Hard Feelings” is the first single off their upcoming LP ‘All Hard Feelings’. Based on this song alone, I would like to go ahead and apologize to any friends that step foot in my car or house when this LP comes out because I can already tell it’s going to be all I listen to.
