FFO: Bob Vylan / SOFT PLAY / Angst and Energy
My calm and chill Monday has turned into an absolutely manic Tuesday. It’s only 9:30 in the morning but it has already been a day as far as work is concerned and I need a song to blow off some steam so let’s start today with something a bit angsty, a bit aggressive, and absolutely perfect.
I don’t know where Hersham is in England but I know that I now want to go there after hearing “BORN BROKE BREAK CROAK” from Punkband. In true UK punk fashion, this song instantly reminded me of Bob Vylan and SOFT PLAY which are not comparisons I typically make as I truly adore the orginality and power of these two acts. This song is aggressive and in your face but it is so perfectly curated and composed that, beyond this angst, it’s truly just a super catchy song. It’s hard to believe that this track was self produced and mixed with how flawless it sounds but who I am to question Punkband. Punkband will have a new five-song EP coming out next month with this as the lead single and I, for one, absolutely can not wait to hear the full release.
