I know that winter is a long ways away but who doesn’t love Jim Carrey’s “The Grinch” all times of the year? Honestly, “The Grinch” has very little to do with this amazing song (other than a few nods in the lyrics) from sleepingbagzz featuring Mint Club but it’s a fun and catchy title that definitely grabbed my attention.
I love the depth that comes through with the vocals that kick this song off. The words are deep and a little gravely before the song jumps into nothing short of pop-punk perfection. The chorus shows a sense of desperation especially during the phrase “I wanna be passionate” which really spoke to my soul. Stylistically, this song jumps from nostalgia to modern pop-punk in such a perfect way. Complete with some shouted phrases and others that sing straight into your soul, “Jim Carrey’s “The Grinch”” from sleepingbazzz and Mint Club is a perfect track to kick off your Thursday.
