I don’t have a quirky intro for you right now. It’s a Thursday morning. I’m definitely tired but also wired because I’m so excited for the show that I have tonight. I need to refocus and get some work done but, in order to do that, I feel like I need some new music to help me do just that.
“Personality Program” from decoy is one of those songs that hits within the first beat and never let’s up. At just under three and a half minutes, this song could be considered blistering and relentless in all of the right ways. It’s a hardcore inspired metalcore sound about how social media sucks. Okay, that’s a super general overview of the lyrical content of this song but, let’s be honest, if I give it all away, why would you listen to the track? I love the lyrics here because they are thoughts that I often have and I love the instrumentation because of the sheer brutality. The video isn’t anything super spectacular or out of the box but I love the way you get to see decoy play through this song with a sense of passion and fury in the video.
