I am in the middle of trying to put out a fire at my day job right now. It’s not going well and I can find myself growing more frustrated with every passing moment that I haven’t been able to figure this fire out. I need to take a break and come back to this issue with a clear head to try again so let’s go ahead and take a break from the day and check out another “new” track. I only say “new” because “Cut My Teeth” from Razorvoice actually came out a year ago but don’t let that stop you from checking out this power pop-punk bop.
“Cut My Teeth” is full of energy to the point where, upon first listen, it may knock you right on your butt in the most perfect way. This song is fearless from the energy behind the song itself to the energy that it seems to radiate out of speakers. It definitely has a slight old-school Fat Wreck Chord stake punk vibe to the vocals but, instrumentally, I feel like this leans a bit more into pop-punk of the early 2000s with bands like Mest coming to mind. There’s also this slight Bouncing Souls PMA vibe that comes with a slight hint of a Rancid graininess. All of these things come together to create a super infectious track that will leave you wanting so much more from this Victoria, British Columbia- based band.
