Girl at the Rock Shows

Okay, yes, you can go ahead and giggle at the name of this band and this track. It’s a bit silly but that’s just a small part of what makes RATSALAD. a band that absolutely deserves your attention.

Beyond the silliness of this track from RATSALAD. is the sheer power that comes with it. Hailing from the middle of nowhere in Australia, RATSALD. has a sense of angst that will take you out right at the knees in all of the right ways. “Nutsack” is the second to last track off of their debut album which is out now on Pee Records. It’s honestly just a lil’ rock song about being a human in regional West Australia and I love that. Music is the thing that connects us all and I feel like feeling the angst and emotion that comes through in this song made me realize that, although a world away, life in Australia is just as frustrating as it is here in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Although I felt that this song has a very raw quality to it, there’s also something perfectly polished. This tells me all I need to know about RATSALAD.– they are one of those bands that is just having fun but make such beautiful music together. They absolutely have my attention and, after listening to “Nutsack”, I hope they have yours too!
