There was a time when I felt like I was sharing a single from Jersey Calling with you almost daily. From “Content” to “The Things Life Leaves Behind”, this band has always spoken to my soul but then the tracks stopped coming. That didn’t stop me from listening to this band on repeat though and when a new track finally hit my inbox, I got butterflies in my stomach.
Jersey Calling’s new song “Projections” was written in a time of emotional struggle. As the band puts it, “the lyrics to this song represent the ongoing inner conflict of a person leading a double-life.” Honestly, I think that’s all something we can relate to. Although some of our double lives may be a bit more obvious than others, I think it’s something that we all struggle with and I love how Jersey Calling approaches this topic with a sense of raw emotion while keeping things upbeat and fun. This is a pop-punk jam through and through with moments that will not only melt your soul, but also make you want to bop around a little bit. Long story short, Jersey Calling is back and they are up to their usual perfection so stop dragging your feet on this band. Check them out and inevitably fall in love with this amazing band.
