Although we live in a society where it’s frowned upon to just straight-up dislike a person, I am the type of person that does exactly that. It’s both a curse and a blessing. I feel like I read people’s auras (in the least hippie way you could take that) and, if I don’t like them upon meeting them, I will continue to just “not like them”. This doesn’t mean I’m a bad person, that the other person is a bad person, or anything like that but more that I don’t have time to waste on people that I don’t like. I love how ALTARBOY’s new song “I Don’t Like You” addresses this but also takes it a step further.

“I Don’t Like You” hits quick and hard with ALTARBOY’s classic punk sound that is wrapped up in a bow of pop-punk infused skate punk. This quick, two-minute long song is full of snark, angst and an endless amount of energy that makes it the perfect track if you are in need of a pick-me-up. On top of that, the lyrics that talk about simply not liking somebody are perfect. Like I mentioned, ALTARBOY takes that feeling one step further by wishing those people that you don’t like ill-will. Although I don’t typically go that far with what I say when I don’t like someone, it’s definitely one of those things that will pop up in my head and I think hear ALTARBOY vocalize those feelings added a sense of cathartic comfort in a way. Whether or not you are having the best day ever, we all have that one person we just straight up dislike and I feel like this song can help you release some of that energy into the world rather than harboring it on the inside.
