This is now the third time I’ve told you to check out Milk St. I’ve already shared their songs “Just Lust” and “Pixie Cuts and Angel Dust” with you but, just in case you are still sleeping on this band, I am here today to share their new single “Slide Off” and remind you that I’m serious when I say you really need to spend some time with this fabulous band.

“Slide Off” is Milk St.’s contribution to a split single with Sinking Season and it hits so hard and so perfectly. I love that there’s an undeniable sense of garage-rock fuzz to this track but there’s also something flawlessly polished when it comes to the emotion that radiates from this song. Overall, the beat stays a bit subdued and the vocals a bit laid back but there’s such a sense of power that comes from the way everything comes together in this track and the way the track ebbs and flows like any good emotional rollercoaster of a track should. Just when you think you have this track pegged, Milk St. changes everything and hits you with a moment of pure euphoria just about half way through the track. Intrigued? I’m obviously not going to tell you more about this magical moment that adds a little razzle dazzle to an already perfect track. You’re just going to have to check it out for yourself.
