I warned you when I reviewed “Changing Focus” from Four Stars that this is a band to watch. In case you didn’t believe me, I’m sharing their new song, “This Song Is Not About you, But If The Shoe Fits…” to just hammer home that point because, really, this song is freaking perfect.

First off, the title alone for this track says everything you need. There’s a sense of nostalgia that comes not only with the ridiculously and not-needed long song title, but also through in the music. Instantly hitting you with a hook of spine-chilling vocal harmonies before slamming you in the gut with a perfectly intense mini-breakdown, Four Stars wastes no time ushering you into their world of emo-pop-punk meets something slightly heavier, a bit more fiery sounds. “This Song Is Not About You, But If The Shoe Fits…” is a perfect example of how much artistry and genius can be put into just three minutes and sixteen-seconds of music. Four Stars gives it all to you throughout this quick track and sends you on a rollercoaster ride of emotion and sound. So buckle up and spend some time with this truly amazing Chicago-based band.
