Girl at the Rock Shows

After a rocky start this morning, I feel like I’m finding my footing for the day and starting to feel like I’m getting a handle on my insane workload. This calls for a celebration and there’s no better way to celebrate than to check out a new song.

Right off the bat, “Better Questions” from lovelost feels like a throwback 2000s pop-punk-leaning emo jam. That is what this song is at its core, but as you move through the three-minute long song, you are treated to many modern twists and beautiful turns. The third single from this band, “Better Questions,” seems to have a bit of a somber tone behind it. The vocals and lyrics are heartbreakingly beautiful, and the harmonies and instrumentation add a sensitive emotional power to this track that refuses to be ignored. All of things come together in this track to create a song that is powerfully cathartic, beautiful, and perfect for when you just need a breather and need to remember that there is beauty in this chaotic world if you just know where to look.
