I’m not so much in a dark and moody headspace today but, for some reason, dark and moody music is just hitting the spot and it really doesn’t get much darker and moodier than “Pretty Pills” from heavy on the heart.
Although this song is definitely on the darker side of things, it’s about turning pain into power, which is perfect if you’re having an insane Wednesday like I am. I love how the overall vibe of this song is ridiculously raw and exposed, yet there’s something so polished and well-curated about the track at the same time. The vulnerability showcased throughout this song is impossible to ignore, but it’s almost impossible not to get lost in the track’s catchiness. “Pretty Pills” is the first single from heavy on the heart.’s upcoming album so, if you like what you hear here, make sure to throw this band a follow so you don’t miss the drop of said album!
