Well, living the dream of being a photographer and writer at Riot Fest is now over. It’s back to reality and back to the day job. Although it feels nice to be home, my head is still in the clouds after seeing and documenting so many amazing things over the weekend, which means it’s been hard to get back into work mode. I know that checking out new music isn’t probably the best idea right now, as I am so far behind on everything, but I just can’t resist, so let’s take a little break and check out “Target Neutralized” from Cruel Bomb.
“Target Neutralized” is an explosive song from Cruel Bomb’s debut full-length album, ‘Cruel Bomb.’ This song is intense from the get-go, and it’s pretty unrelenting, so brace yourself. Instrumentally, this song is pure thrash metal with a hardcore edge. Vocally, the song leans a bit more into the hardcore vein, creating an undeniable and unescapable sense of angst and aggression that is oh so perfect if you, like me, are struggling to get into work mode today. Although this song is pure energy, there’s an organization to it that makes this three-minute-long song feel like a cohesive thought, which I really appreciated. “Target Neutralized” is loud, it’s intense, it’s fast, powerful, and perfect for an early Tuesday morning.
