I’ve had a couple of people comment on how good my lunch smells. It’s not that good. It’s just a salad and, honestly, not one of the better salad kits I’ve picked out. I’m underwhelmed but glad that everyone else in the office thinks I’m eating some extravagant lunch. This has absolutely nothing to do with “Kind of Love” from Frances Eliza.

“Kind of Love” from Frances Eliza is extremely poppy and commercial. It’s definitely not what I typically share with you or even get hooked by but there’s something about this song that instantly had me feeling a “Kind of Love.” This song is soft and sweet. It’s light and fluffy, but there’s a depth that makes it feel like falling into a giant, cuddly blanket full of cats that are ready to cuddle. Okay, I’m getting mushy and a bit ridiculous. Truth is, I’m feeling a bit manic today, but this song is bringing me back to Earth in such a perfect way while still allowing my head to wander through cotton-candy-like clouds. Honestly, nothing really changes in this song. There’s an absolutely stunning moment around the two-and-a-half-minute mark, but other than that, this song stays the course, steady, light, and beautiful. This song is not one to be used as an early-afternoon pick-me-up but it is one that will make you feel oh so very warm and cozy on a chilly day like today.
