Girl at the Rock Shows

Are you sick of me telling you about NOFUN!? It’s fair if you are. I feel like I’ve been sharing new music from them out a lot lately but, the truth is, I just can not get enough of this band and, during these dark times, their positive and fun music is one of the few things keeping me going. A perfect example of that is their song “SELL YOU A DREAM.”

All of the music I’ve heard from NOFUN! brings me back to seeing them live. This group just has such a way of putting their raw energy and endless passion into a song in a way that other acts typically can not. This song, although just as energized, seems to show a bit more of a serious side of this group. This song still has the bounce and that signature infectious energy that NOFUN! typically has but there’s something just slightly more serious about the overall feeling of some of the words and phrases in this song. Is this a turning point for this group? Will their style shift to this more serious kind of thing or is this just a sign of the times with all of the darkness we seem to be living in. Either way, watching NOFUN! evolve over the past few years has been insane and I already can’t wait for whatever is going to come next for this nine-piece collective.
