I can’t decide what I want to listen to today. It’s a problem I seem to be having a lot lately. Do I want warm and cozy to match the soft snow falling outside my window? Or do I want intense and angular to match the ice that comes in to assault my window here and there? Maybe I want my standard stroll down memory last with some nostalgic 90’s and early 00’s tunes. I seriously don’t know but I know that Desk Job.’s new song “Too Old To Care” is going to hit the spot regardless because this band is truly just that good.

“Too Old To Care” is the first song from Desk Job. for 2026 and, if I may be so bold, I think it’s proof that this going to be their year. This song is delicate and tender at first, matching that soft snow falling outside but, as the track moves on, you get hit with a sense of angsty power and deafening emotion. This song is for those who hate to be trendy and seem to go out of their way to diss the trends. These people often grow up to realize that this attitude only makes you miserable because, at the end of the day, does it really matter? Why can’t we just enjoy what makes us happen? Why do we have to be concerned about what’s cool or not and then form opinions based only on that rather than our own personal preference? “Too Old To Care” is powerful in more ways than one and I highly urge you to spend some time with this amazing track and band regardless of what kind of mood you’re in.
