I keep on bouncing between extreme music genres. My day started off with an LFO-based playlist. After about an hour on that, I went to nothing but Paleface Swiss. Once I got bored with that, it was a dive into Alkaline Trio’s world and now I find myself on some random indie-pop kind of playlist (and loving “Imagine Barcelone” from Arkells). Everything I’ve listened to today has been good but nothing seems to be hooking me which means it’s time to dive into a whole new world. This world is brought to you by Ravenmocker.
This song relates more to that Paleface Swiss kick I was on earlier. It’s an intense and classic-feeling death metal track that is full of energy, power, and headbangs. Watching the video that goes with this song really just brings Ravenmocker and their intensity to life in such a perfect way. The video is simple enough–the band standing there in all black and letting their fingers (and hair) fly. It’s that simplicity that had me sold on this band the first time I heard and saw this song. Although Ravenmocker is an intense band and “Infalliable” is a brutal song, there’s something organized and crystal clear about every note and word of this track. I love how this band can take something so heavy but present it in a digestible way for even those of you who may not think that death metal is the genre for you. Are you one of those people who instantly swears off death metal before you even hear a track? Change that by checking out “Infallible” from Ravenmocker.

That shift from Alkaline Trio to death metal is wild but totally makes sense when the song is this powerful. Ravenmocker nails the crushing sound you were craving.
