Girl at the Rock Shows

I left my lunch on the counter at home. Honestly, it’s a blessing because my lunch was one of my less than inspired kind of lunches but now I’m stuck trying to figure out what to order. Do I want a sandwich? Maybe a burrito? Falafel? Or should we wild card this and go for something a bit more exotic and try something new? Honestly, it’s almost overwhelming trying to figure out what to do for lunch but, thankfully, I have “Schizoscene” from State Power to keep me calm during this trying time.

Okay, truthfully, there’s nothing calming about “”Schizoscene” from State Power but you probably figured that given the name of this track. This song is two and a half minutes of perfectly curated and expertly controlled chaos. It’s a blast of power and emotion that will help you release any sort of pent up aggression that you’ve been hiding from so far this day while giving you this odd sense of comfort that reminds you that you aren’t the only one feeling a bit angsty and pissed off today, so is State Power and they aren’t afraid to show it. “Schizoscene” is the first single off of State Power’s upcoming debut record ‘Hyperstition’ which is scheduled to come back in late August on Parasocial Records. If this single is any clue as to what else is to come from this band, it’s safe to say that I am absolutely going to be counting down the days until I get a full album from State Power.
