I’m starting to get frustrated with the day. I’m getting a lot done, but it’s one of those one-step-forward, two-steps-back kinds of days. Every time I get an email done, I go back to my inbox to find three new ones, and every time I get in the zone with one project, another project pops up that needs me to drop everything and address it. It’s frustrating, and now it’s lunchtime, and I feel like I still have so much to do today. That’s okay, though, because I have new music like “The End of Memory from The Roland High Life to help keep me going until I can escape the chains of my day job and take a breather before diving into a show tonight.

This song is bright, and it’s fun. It’s exactly what my heart and soul needed right now. This is a power-pop song that is about missed opportunities, but there’s a twist. Those missed opportunities were actually never real to begin with. I think this is something we all deal with on a day-to-day basis. Some experience it in a more extreme way, but come on, how many times have you come up with a storyline in your head, but then it doesn’t come true? That’s what this is about, and I love that because it’s such a complicated thought and idea, but The Roland High Life has put it into a vibe that is playful and digestible. My favorite part of this song (outside of the relatable message) is the sound of the keys. It’s there throughout this track, but I just absolutely love how it highlights certain lines and words in such a perfect way. This song glitters like gold, and it bounces like the best of bouncey castles. Long story short, you need to check this out.
