Girl at the Rock Shows

My fairly chill and super productive Tuesday morning is starting to fall into shambles due to my day job taking a turn into stressful territory, but I will not let it get to me. It’s chilly outside. It’s dreary outside, and I’m wearing a brand new hoodie that is still uber soft because it hasn’t fallen victim to the washing machine and dryer yet. I won’t let the stress get to me. Instead, I’m going to keep on trudging ahead one song at a time until I can escape the day job and fall into a concert.

“Those White Flags Are No Match For Our Muskets” is the first single from The Chandelier Swing’s upcoming EP that will be coming out next month. It’s a bombastic track full of a pop-punk spirit and a more punk-leaning attitude. The thing that really got me hooked on this song wasn’t just the grit and the speed; it was the heart. You don’t need me to tell you what this song is about. You also don’t need me to tell you how this song will make you feel. The Chandelier Swing makes both of those things clear with the absolutely amazing energy that they have put into this track. This band is from St. Louis, which really isn’t that far away from up here in Minneapolis, so cheers to hoping that this band makes their way up here soon because I would kill to see this song and other hits from The Chandelier Swing performed live.
