It’s not that I didn’t want to go to a show last night; it’s that I just ran out of steam. Monday got the best of me, and after an insane weekend, I just needed a night to be a normal person and be asleep by 10 PM, so that’s exactly what I did. I’m not proud of it and I know I missed a few amazing shows, but for the first time in weeks, I’m feeling kind of rested this morning, and that feels amazing, so let’s take advantage of this energy and kick the day off early with some new music, starting with “Medicine” from Just In Stereo.
“Medicine” is a love song. Although it’s written about the feeling you get when you fall in love with someone who makes you better, I feel like it could apply to a million things. For me, I’m applying “Medicine” to music and concerts. It’s a super upbeat, bright pop-punk anthem you will instantly want to scream from the rooftops, but it has just the right amount of grit to make you want to dance through this three-minute-and-thirteen-second track. “Medicine” is currently a standalone single from Just In Stereo and I have it on good authority that the band will be dropping another single next month so if you like what you hear here, make sure you throw this band a follow so you don’t miss anything else from them as they inevitably start taking over the pop-punk scene.
