Happy Friday, everyone! We’ve made it! So let’s celebrate with some amazing new music starting with “Lilypad” from This Summer.

This song has a sense of sweetness to it right from the get go. It instantly reminded me a bit of the calm and solace I find in The Early November but it comes with a bit more energy than that. Although fairly soft and sweet, there’s a sense of power that comes through in both the vocals and instrumentation. There’s a very subtle build throughout this song that really comes to fruition in the last minute but, even with the apex of the track, I feel like there’s no real sense of chaos or anything like that which I truly enjoyed. I loved how easy it was to just fall into this song and forget everything happening around me making “Lilypad” a perfect way to kick my day off.
