I feel like a lot of the singles I have been shouting out lately have been from brand new bands. This includes “The Static” from Everpale. Although Everpale is a new band, their sound is that of an instant classic.
“The Static” is a song about the stuggle of trying to find yourself. Whether that’s finding yourself in the world in general or just in your own being, there’s a truly strong message throughout this song that demands to be heard. Beyond the message is the overall sound. This song teeters between metalcore and alt-metal throughout the four minutes but also hints at the heavier side of pop-punk and even has emo tendencies at times. It’s almost as if Atreyu and Silverstein met but then started hanging out with Bring Me The Horizon up at the corner store. Basically, this is a blend of everything from heavy to tender and the way that Everpale puts it all together is just pure genius.
New band or not, Everpale commands your attention so check out “The Static” right now!
