I know that Israel feels like worlds away and, honestly, it is, but, when you listen to music from Israel, you start to realize that we aren’t so different. That’s my favorite part of this job. You listen to music from all over the world and reminded that, in the grand scheme of things, we are all connected in some way regardless of how many miles separate us. A perfect example of this is “Hospital” from Israeli-based The Urban Tales.
Although lacking the typical aggressive edge that I look for in tracks, the pop-punk perfection leaning into a more standard alternative-rock vibe that comes with “Hospital” is absolutely perfect and infectious. This song is upbeat and is one of those tracks that will instantly get stuck in your head. As if the perfection of this track isn’t enough to get you hooked, check out the video. It’s an equally funny and twisted take on being locked inside of a psychiatric ward. I feel like combining the quirkiness of this video with the energy of the song creates a perfect combination that will have you feeling connected and in love with The Urban Tales in no time.
