Are you in the mood for something slightly heavy? If so, I have a treat for you and that is “Tourniquet” from Outloved featuring Ocean Sleeper.
A collaboration between two amazing Australian groups, “Tourniquet” has an undeniable sense of angst and aggression yet, overall, stays a very cool, calm, and collected song. It’s quite stunning what these two bands have pulled off with this song. The blend of clean vocals and Karl’s (Ocean Sleeper) heavy screams creates a beautiful contrast that will both catch your ears and punch you in the gut in a perfect way. “Tourniquet” is less than three minutes long but I feel like you get a ridiculously large range of emotion in the short song that so many bands try, but fail to pull off. Personally, I think this song is heavy but I also think some of you may listen to it and catch on more to the tenderness encased in the track. Regardless, this song is worth your attention as are the two bands behind it.
