I’m not typically one for cover songs. I especially not one for cover songs from bands that I don’t particularly love. So why am I sharing out a cover song of “Every Day Is Exactly The Same” from Nine Inch Nails (which is one of those bands that I have always thought is just “meh”)? Well, the second you press play on this cover from Before We Die, you will understand.
Formed during the pandemic, Before We Die is a band that hit the ground running and, even though they started at a fairly strange time, they are clearly doing it right. Their nostalgic vibes mixed with a more modern twist make them a band that demands to be checked out. This song in particular shows the wide range of styles that Before We Die has under their belts. There’s rock, metal, punk, industrial– I mean, you get everything you typically get from Nine Inch Nails but with a Before We Die flair. Honestly, I feel like Before We Die’s version of this song is just every so slightly more energetic which is probably why I found it to be worth of a shout-out. Regardless, check it out and, even if this song isn’t your thing, I highly suggest you check out some of the other tracks from Before We Die.

Thanks for the love! I’m really glad that in your eyes, we were able to take a song by an artist that you (and many others tbh, so that’s fair!) are kinda “meh” about, and make it something more energetic and deeper hitting in relation to our story forming out from the Covid lockdowns. Rock on Girl at the Rock Shows!
