Girl at the Rock Shows

Honestly, my Monday is going pretty well (knock on wood). There haven’t been any giant fires to be put out yet and, other than a constant stream of emails, I’m keeping up with things and work pretty well. This doesn’t mean that I don’t have some steam to let off though. I feel like we all have that every day. No matter how good your day is going, there’s always something that you could vent about or get off your chest so, with that in mind, let me introduce you to “P.O.S.” from Goroh.

“P.O.S.” is only the second single from this Ohio-based band but it is absolutely flawless. It hits and it hits hard with a very powerful message and homage to victims of sexual assault and abuse behind it. That’s seriously such an important message and I love the way you can feel the weight of said message with every brutal word that passes in this two and a half minute long song. Beyond the message is the sheer intensity of this track. It’s hardcore at it’s core but there are definitely nods to something a bit darker and in the vein of deathcore and even flashes of metalcore scattered throughout this song. If you’re looking for just a couple of minutes to blow off some steam, I highly suggest you take a listen to “P.O.S.” from Goroh. The intensity and brutality of this song is just what you need and the message behind it is a powerful one that should not be ignored.
