I told you I was going to bombard you with new music this week. I hope you’re buckled up and ready for this ride! The next stop on this bender of new music is “Shipwrecked” from So-Called and if you, like me, are a pop punk princess or garage band kind, this song will be your new favorite jam.

Like so many other singles that come across my desk, I was given no information on this band or this song but, really, “Shipwrecked” speaks for itself and instantly had me sold. There’s a classic pop-punk nostalgia in this song but also a fresh take on that nostalgia. I felt a little bit everything in this song from Citizen to The Story So Far and all the way back to something like old-school Senses Fail. What I loved even more than these familiar influences is the build that happen throughout this track. Although just under three minutes, this song packs a punch when it comes to the crescendo happening throughout this song. It’s subtle but, by the end of this song, you will be filled with so much energy and angst. It’s absolutely stunning and a genius track that is more than worth your attention today.
