Girl at the Rock Shows

It has only been a couple of months since I checked out “Shipwrecked” from So-Called but it’s clear, when listening to their new song “Patience” that this band is quickly growing and absolutely turning some heads .

Although their new song “Patience” is filled with the same signature angst and energy, there’s something a bit more refined with what So-Called does with it in this song. At four minutes long, the band takes their time telling you a story and leading you into their world in such a beautiful way. The angst is not as in the spotlight as it was in “Shipwrecked” yet it hits just the same. What I really like about this song is how that angst and energy, at times, turns into something stunningly beautiful. I’m talking goosebump inducing beautiful. With a few nods to the emo scene of years gone by but a very fresh take on composition and overall tone, “Patience” is proof of how much can change in just a couple of months. If So-Called keeps up this pace, there will be no stopping them.
