They just made an announcement for Riot Fest (spoiler alert: they are moving). They still haven’t announced the line-up yet but it’s coming. What does this mean? This means that that whole “putting my head down and working” thing I wrote about in my last review isn’t happening so let’s just keep on digging into some new music until I can figure out how to focus on work.

Boston-based Bermuda Search Party has a punch and fun sound that will instantly put a smile on your face. Add their quirky music video complete with dollar-store props and costumes and you are left with a track that will make even the most unsettled heart and mind calm down if ever so slightly. This song isn’t loud, it’s not aggressive, and it really doesn’t have much angst in it which is usually what I look for yet something about “Asking 4 a Friend” had me absolutely caught. The song (and video) is carefree and somehow reminded me of a simpler time. On a day like today when I’m struggling to concentrate but know there just aren’t enough hours in a day to get everything done, “Asking 4 A Friend” from Bermuda Search Party absolutely hit the spot.
