It’s a stormy and dreary day up here in Minneapolis today but I won’t let that get the best of me. It’s Wednesday and there’s a lot to do before I can look forward to the weekend so it’s time to put my head down and get crap done. Obviously, that’s easier said than done but maybe some new music will help me with this conquest.
“Tunnel Vision” from trio SUNBURNT is just what I needed. This pop-punk-perfect jam instantly filled my space with sunshine rather than the muck happening outside right now. This song has a very strong 90s/00s SoCal pop-punk vibe to it but there’s also something fresh about it. The biggest comparison I want to make here would be State Champs (which is no surprise as SUNBURNT collaborated with Kyle Black who is known for his work with State Champs) but, really, “Tunnel Vision” has a fresh vibe to it that makes SUNBURNT a stand out act in an otherwise oversaturated scene.
