Sometimes you hear a song and it just really brightens your day. Honestly, my day has been pretty bright already. I’m getting a lot done and am feeling energized and motivated but that doesn’t change how happy “Sometimes Tells me (We’re Getting Closer)” from Fly Right made me feel.

The band calls this a “raging god-feels bonfire” and, honestly, I feel like that’s the perfect way to describe this song. It’s upbeat and joyous but don’t let that fool you. The lyrics of this song are full of depth about the excitement you find in finding the right person to love while know that you can’t be together.. at least not yet. There’s optimism and sunshine scattered throughout this song. Add the infectious pop-punk vibe to the track and you are left with an instant classic that will both get stuck in your head and make you want to dance at the same time. So turn up the volume (and the sun) and prep your face for a smile that will instantly stretch from ear to ear as soon as you get a couple of seconds into this feel-good track.
