We’ve hit the post-lunch early-afternoon slump segment of the day but, have no fear, Sorry Sweetheart is here with their single “50 First Dates” to help snap you out of it and bring you back to life.

This track kicks off with an explosive brass introduction before settling into Sorry Sweetheart’s pop-punk perfect signature sound. This song sounds like Warped Tour. I know that’s not a genre or anything like that but, if you get it, you get it. This is a true summer bop with a stupid amount of catchiness and enough energy to wake up even the sleepiest of souls on a Tuesday night. Although it’s fairly sunny here, listening to “50 First Dates” seemed to make the sun shine even brighter as it played. There are some twists and turns throughout this song that keep it feeling stress. At one point, you have a very Jeff Rosenstock feel but it’s quickly followed up by an A Day To Remember styled breakdown. It’s all over the place and, honestly, perfect. Can you tell that I just adore this song? I’m sure these words feel more like rambling than a description but I just can not tell you how hard and perfectly this track from Sorry Sweetheart is hitting right now. I urge you to take a listen, and fall in love with this amazing band right now!
