Wait, am I allowed to put curse words in the title of these posts? I mean, it’s my blog, right? But what happens when I try to post it to my socials with a giant curse word right there for the powers to be to see? Honestly, it doesn’t matter. All that matters right now is Albuterol Baby’s new track, “The More I Fucking Think About It”.
This three and a half minute song has it all. It has grit, attitude, snark, catchiness, swagger, and heart. Right off the bat, you get a very The Distillers vibe before the song jets off into something that seems to draw inspiration from everything from Pixies to Joan Jett. It’s a tried and true style but with a modern twist of grit and angst that makes it perfect for every occasion. I love how this song isn’t too fast or frantic yet comes with an undeniable sense of power and speed in a very unique way. Albuterol Baby is from Austin, TX so I don’t know when they will make it up here to the Twin Cities but I know that, when they do, I will be in the front row. “The More I Fucking Think About It” begs to be witnessed live but, for now, I suppose I’ll settle with just listening to this epic track on repeat.
