Girl at the Rock Shows

It was a whirlwind of a weekend. I drove to Chicago Friday morning for a show Friday night. Woke up Saturday morning to head home. Then make the trek to Rochester, MN on Sunday for another show and came home that night. I’m physically drained but am so full of amazing music and great times with fantastic people. I’m definitely struggling to keep up with work right now as exhaustion is getting the best of me but I won’t let that stop me from sharing some amazing music with you starting with “Living With Your Ghost” from Altalune.

“Living With Your Ghost” isn’t a long jam as it’s only three minutes and ten seconds long but it’s what Altalune does with that time that left me thoroughly impressed. The dynamics and overall composition of this track are genius and truly showcase the talent behind this band. I’ll be honest, the beginning of the song is slow and a bit sleepy but, as the song ramps up and you hear the sheer power of Altalune, you, like myself, will surely be lost for words. Think Brand New but some of their more ambient leaning tracks and you can get a small hint at to what to expect from this song but, all in all, Altalune has a sound that can only be described as theirs and it will hit you like a ton of bricks. So buckle up and brace yourself while you press play on this genius piece of art.
