I’m feeling a bit frantic and dramatic right now. I honestly can’t pinpoint where this energy is coming from but I do know I could use a break from constant emails and just take a breather. Olivia Dolphin’s song “Ghost Story” is truly the perfect song for this moment.

This is completely different than I typically share out but don’t let that scare you away from this brilliant song. It’s epic, it’s dramatic, it’s raw, it’s intense and, over everything else, it’s perfect. I love how this song could be considered to be just a pop song but, as you get into the depth of the track, it quickly turns into so much more than that. I picked up on everything from folk tendencies to an almost musical theatre influence that comes in and out of this stunning piece of art. There’s rage, there’s heartbreak, there’s frustration, and there’s energy all coming at you throughout this nearly four-minute song in such a flawless presentation of talent and creativity. I needed a song to just get lost in for a couple of minutes and to say that’s what happened as I played through “Ghost Story” from Olivia Dolphin over, and over, and over again would be an understatement.
