Per usual, I am shocked at how quickly time is slipping away so I need a moment to just find my footing again– to get grounded. That is where “Nutrients From Mama” from Sleepology comes in.
One of my favorite bands of all time is Cursive and I feel that this song has a strong Cursive-like vibe to it. Now, nothing could ever be just like Cursive but Sleepology has creativity in not only the overall vibe of “Nutrients From Mama” but also in the composition. There’s something raw about this song but also something perfectly polished making it feel like a cohesive song that is ready for the masses. At just a couple of seconds shy of three minutes, I was honestly floored by how much this band was able to put into this time. There’s clear movement and clear dynamics that are drastic to say the least yet nothing about this song feels rushed. Long story short, if you’re feeling short on nutrients, try out “Nutrients From Mama” and Sleepology.
