Girl at the Rock Shows

I don’t have anything for you this morning. It’s just one of those normal days where I am balancing recovering from the show last night and jumping into today’s work load. Instead of wracking my brain for something quirky to tell you, let’s just get into some new songs for the day starting with “Jersey Girl” from Arctic Wave.

There’s something ridiculously vibrant about “Jersey Girl” from Arctic Wave. It’s infectious and catchy but has a sense of depth behind it that makes it a heavy hitting track. There are moments in this song that will make you want to sing along and others that will have you lost in your feelings. The way that this band so effortlessly gives you all of these things in this four minute song is pure genius. There’s something uber personal about the presentation of the lyrics in this song. You can tell that the words being sung mean everything to band founder and lead songwriter C.L. Turner which just adds to the charm of this true bop. Stylistically this song hangs between pop punk and indie rock perfectly. Long story short, if you need a song to help snap you to life this morning, “Jersey Girl” is the one for you.
