To say that we are living in uncertain times right now would be an understatement. Like I mentioned in my first post today, it’s getting hard to not get wrapped up in the mania and stress that comes with the impending election tomorrow but I’m doing my best to distract myself with some new music and just get buried in work. Regardless of the outcome tomorrow (or whenever it is over and done), we all need a little bit of solace and that’s exactly what “Melatonin” from Jack Fargo will give you.

“Melatonin” is definitely a bit more pop leaning and commercial feeling than I typically go for but there’s something about the charm of Jack Fargo and the raw lyrics that had me sold within just the first few songs of this track. This song is the second single from Jack Fargo’s sophomore EP and it will surely leave you wanting more. What I love the most about this track (other than the positivity that it spreads) is how it speaks to everyone on some kind of level. Even if you are the hardest of metalheads or you love the most vulgar rap music out there or just love top-40 bops, there will be something in this song for you. I also love that it just spreads that aforementioned positivity. I’ll be honest, my playlist today is mostly full of ska infused jams to help keep me awake and optimistic about the week. I know this isn’t quite a ska song but I feel like the sentiment is the same making it the perfect fit for both myself and all of you this week.
