Girl at the Rock Shows

My day is flying by right now. I’m fine with it because I’m going to see Amigo the Devil tonight and I am truly so stoked on that but, at the same time, I feel like, although I’m getting lots done, I wish I had more time to get fun things done like sharing out new music. Although I really don’t have the time right now, I feel like I deserve a new song and feel like you do too so let’s take a breather and check out “The Only Way” from Loud Lines.

The first new song from Loud Lines in about four year, “The Only Way” is one of those songs that, right off the bat, it catches you right in the throat. Although the beginning just the sound of a fairly simplistic feeling guitar lick and solid yet slow drums, there’s something about the intensity and severity of it all that will instantly draw you in. Then, like the coldest aloe on the worst sunburn you’ve ever heard, the vocals behind this band come in and soothe your soul while that heavy-leaning instrumentation continues to squeeze your throat. This song is fun, it’s catchy but, most importantly, it’s not hard to have an almost physical reaction to everything happening in this track. Whether it’s physical in the way you start bopping around your space to the beat or the way you can feel your throat kind of close up as you get lost in the lyrics and story behind this track, you will feel “The Only Way” and it’s perfect. I’m not sure what Loud Lines was like four years ago before they put this solo out or what’s ahead for them but I know that I’m impatiently waiting for more.
