Girl at the Rock Shows

Although time has felt like it is moving pretty slow today, it’s somehow already lunchtime. That’s a good think because I was getting hungry but, at the same time, it’s making me realize that I should probably pick up the pace as far as crossing things off of my to do list is concerned. I honestly probably shouldn’t take a break to check out some new music but, on a short week like this week, I feel like I can finally slow down a bit and do a little bit more of what I enjoy verses what I have to do so let’s take a little break and check out another new track. This one is “Go Ask Them Why” from Lowspot.

Sometimes a song doesn’t need to have a super deep meaning. Sometimes it just need to be something loud, upbeat, and with a catchy chorus which is exactly what ” Go Ask Them Why” from Lowspot is for me right now. I say it that way because, if you wanted, I’m sure you could find some deep meaning behind this track but, for where I’m at in my head with today, I loved the way the carefree jangle of this track just seemed to let my head drift off from my work. I love how the fuzz felt throughout this song adds a feeling of garage-rock raw styled grit to this song yet it’s easy to hear all of the parts that make up this track so perfectly at the same time. From the fuzz to the fire and all the way to the infectious energy that radiates from this song, “Go Ask Them Why” from Lowspot is one of those songs that is just good– straight-up. It’s not complicated so, if you’re looking for something easy but brilliant, check this out!
